So, once again I am posting a Monday memory that is hosted by Revee at

My memory for today is short, but I thought you all might find it funny.
Growing up my mother nor my grandmothers ever drove. One day when I was about 10 a friend (relative thru marriage actually) stopped by our house to talk to my mom. She had her Bible in her hand. She was very serious so I stood by to listen. She said, "Doris, I have been reading my Bible and I feel that God wants me to come over and teach you how to drive." My mom was very puzzled and so she opened her Bible to John 15:13 and read the verse. GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS. How we all got a huge laugh! What a risky thing it would have been for anyone to try to teach her to drive! Mom is 67 and has still never ever tried to drive. No one in the family has ever forgotten this incident.

What a cute little story! My gramma never drove a day in her life either; and my mom didn't learn to drive until this past year (she is 72).
Thanks for sharing!

That is the cutest story, Sondra!! I took driver's ed in high school but never drove after the class. I finally relearned when Grace was 6 months old (9 years ago) but I still don't like it! LOL
