OOPS!!

Bad news!!! Aaron was in a car accident today. Thank God that he and Austin were unharmed. My car however was not. It looks like it will be a total loss. The damage is much worse than it appears in the pictures.
The air bags deployed and caused the dash to come up and break the windshield. The front end is all beat up and the radiator busted.
Aaron was stopped at a red light. He had been dealing with a migraine all day. He said that he felt like he dozed off or blacked out. He must have hit the gas and when Austin screamed he became alert but had already hit the car in front of him, which in turn hit the car in front of it. It is hard to believe that this much damage occurred from a dead stop. The one car that he hit had some rear bumper damage and the front car had none.
Aaron has had migraines since he was 2 years old. He did pass out with them a few times. After CT and MRI we were told that he had a cyst on his brain. We try to stay in control of his headaches but it looks like we may need to go back to the doctor for some better treatment.
Emotions are running high here tonight. I myself, am just thankful that the boys are ok. We will deal with the rest later. What a way to start the week.

Cars can be fixed or replace, but not your beautiful sons...stop and give thanks together...for you are blessed.

So glad you are all alright.

How scary! I am so glad that they are okay. I am so sorry about your new car! Oh my goodness, it did cause so much damage. I hope that he can get his migraines under control. That's sad that he has to deal with them at such a young age.

Hugs, Sharon

Wow--glad everyone is Ok. I am sure it is a hard thing to total a car, but looking at it in perspective is so helpful. Also it does show you a need you perhaps were not aware of--as far as looking more into his health situation....guess we are not always aware of all of the ramifications that come with an illness. I surely have seen how God brings things in our lives that seem like such a trial and how he turns it out to be a blessing---I am so glad of God's intimacy in his love for us!

whew! Glad everything, and everyone is ok! I hope they can find the reason for Aaron's blackouts-that is scary.

I know, so well, what you mean by the boys are ok, we will deal with the rest later. When Taylor called to tell me about his accident, "I'm ok" was all I heard. The rest just fell into place.

God bless you in the 'recent' journey mom!

I am so glad that they are OK and I will pray for his headaches and the doctors to have wisdom when you go back.

My Dad has towed MANY cars and he has often reminded parents that they should be thankful that their irreplacible child is fine. So often they are angry over the damage to the car. Glad that you have the right frame of mind.

I am know working at a chiropractic office and we have several patients that we have helped with migraines, I would love for him to come see our doctors. The consultation is free and takes about 45 minutes. Most insurance covers most of the expense. Email or call me and I can set something up for you guys. The doctors I work with use only the state of the art equiptment and DO NOT crack and pop. I have seen absolute miracles!!
Glad to hear the boys are okay. The car is only an object that can be replacement! Tell Sandy not to worry! I can just hear him now!!!
