WHERE DO THEY REALLY GO?

My weekend- sit down- watch a movie -match socks job is done. I have always- and I mean always- since the boys were very young had a problem with socks. I have tried many different approaches to the battle of the socks such as buying all the same, only buying each kid 7 pairs, ect, ect. But some how....

We always end up with this. Where are the matches to all these? I honestly do not know. Strange. Very strange. Looks like some of those are real dirty and should just go in the trash. When mom is here, she loves to match the socks. I bet she is looking at this picture now and saying, "Oh, I see a match right there!" LOL! Yep, she will also say "You need to just throw a little bleach in them socks!"

Anyone else have a sock problem???

I used to just leave them in a basket in the laundry room. The kids matched up their own. Very lazy of me, I know. Hubby's were matched and put in his drawer. Then, one day he got-oh whats the word-possessed and while watching a good show- hubby matched the WHOLE huge basket. He had the kids (5 at the time) put them up. Next week, while putting up the laundry in the drawers, I found that EVERY pair had been split up. They didn't like dad's matches. So back to the big tub again (until they got big enough to do their own laundry). Hubby EVEN separates his pairs looking for a better match-so I don't bother-I just lay them out neatly in his drawer-live and learn. (one more note-17yo last son home leaves his socks all over the place, truck, car, yard, porch, house, etc-he NEVER has socks!) Socks-its a love hate relationship!

Yes! but my problem with socks is that they sneek into piles they dont belong to, and come out non-matching colors-grrr...forever to not match.
Does this happen to anyone else?

That is soooo funny! Who knows where they really go! I think buying all the same kind works best for me. A great trick for whitening the socks, wash them in hot water and add a cup of bleach and let them soak, they come out really nice. Boys can be so crazy hard on socks!

I am so sorry that I have not sent you that CD! I am having a hard time getting down to the post office, but I am pretty sure I can do it today.

God bless you,

Sharon

This problem exists at our home also. There is usually one sock in the dryer and I put it in the laundry basket to wait until the other one "shows up"! Usually it is a no show or I find the other one on someone's dresser or somewhere else.

socks are the bane of my laundry-existence! i have a huge tote that i keep in front of the dryer and if i can't immediately find the match when i am sorting the lonely socks go in there. needless to say it is chock-full, yipes... in the summertime we don't wear too many socks so my sock-laziness hasn't been too much of a problem, but fall is a'comin' so someone around here better get to work sorting;)

oh, btw... i linked to you in my post about church bags:D

Kevin and I have a problem just as bad and it's just the two of us! I'm at a loss as to how to avoid this too!
