SHOW AND TELL FRIDAY

Today is show and tell over at Keli's place http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/. Go check it out and join in the fun.
Today I am showing this unusual glass basket. I found this at the Goodwill store for $2.00. It has a handle and some beautiful etching on it. I have no idea what it is for and have not figured out if I should put something inside or just sit it out like it is. Any suggestions?

I would also like to show this darling picture I found of my two oldest boys. They were blowing dandelions in the yard. Billy even has two in his hand. He really wanted to make sure his wish was coming true! I blew it up and framed it and put some inspirational words around. I wanted them to hang it up at their place but they said it would be embarrassing for their friends to see it. Boys! Oh, well I will hang it up here.

Also, I want to say Happy Birthday to Aaron. He is 16 today! I will do a post later for him.

The glass basket is unique and pretty. If candy work, I'd put candy!! Your boys are so sweet. I love seeing children like that, so content. Have a great day, Sondra.

I wanted to ask you if you can eat Tootsie Rolls? My Aunt Dorothy has the same thing you have, and she CAN eat them. Now that would be a good thing, as Martha would say, to put inside that basket. My aunt especially likes the different flavored Tootsie Rolls. I hope you can eat them! Hugs, Kathi

Your glass bowl is lovely. If you were to put it in your kitchen, you could put pretty tea bags and special coffees in it. :)

Hi Sondra! Great find at the Goodwill. I'm with the others and think candy would look divine in the basket. Even flowers would be beautiful in it too.

I love the picture of your boys, it's so sweet! Childhood is a beautiful thing. I love the simplicity of life, I'm glad to be an adult now, but sometimes I miss childhood.

I like the glass basket too. I think it depends where you put it as to if you should put anything in it. If it's in kind of a busy place the glass simply on it's own might be nice, but if you're putting it somewhere you're trying to dress up I might put some marbles and flowers or potpourri in it. $2 at Goodwill is an awesome find! I love thrift store shopping!

I know it's been a while since I've made a show and tell post, but I'm using the older computer these days, the Mac needs service. So I can't upload pictures easily with this machine.

I hope you get a chance to swing by my blog and read my post about mothers day coming up. All moms, I hope you read it.

Hope you're feeling and doing well,
Your friend,
Crystal

Something bright & colorful. Candy or maybe glass marbles.

Hi Sondra,

Some how I missed your S&T last week. That is a cool basket! I don't think I have ever seen one like it! It is really pretty. I would put pot pouri in it. Could you use it for a side jello type salad? It's very pretty.

I also love the cute picture of the boys, how sweet!

Hugs, Sharon
