Show and Tell Friday

Once again it is time for Kelli's show and tell Friday. To find out more and how you can participate go to http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/. It is so much fun to see everyone's neat stuff in this grown up version of show and tell :)

My show and tell for today is my piano. I got my piano for FREE! I love it because it is old and it has these great little wooden flowers in the detailing of the wood. There are a few black keys missing but my dad is going to replace them for me. It is in tune and I have started taking lessons about 4 months ago. I love how relaxing it is to play and it is about the only 'me' time that I have right now. I have been looking for a piano for awhile and was so thankful when I was offered this one for free. These old ones are so heavy and it took my husband, Billy,Aaron and one of Billy's friends to move it. It was quite a job but well worth it.
Thanks for stopping by.

My mother bought a used piano in her sixties and she learned how to play. It was a true source of delight for her. She would have loved your piano.

Enjoy playing your piano and take care.

Well, you can't beat the price! It's just gorgeous! I always wanted to learn to play -- it would be so nice to just be able to express myself that way. I know I still could learn, but at this point in my life there's not really time. Hope you enjoy your lessons and the new skill!

Your piano is beautiful, Sondra!! It reminds me of my grandma's piano. She gave me lessons for a few years old when I was around 11 and 12 years old so seeing yours brought back some memories.

It's great that you are taking lessons! I started taking them again a few years ago!
